Meet our Grill Master (and associate director) Eli Zhushma 🔥🥩
Every year he teaches our TBS boys grilling skills, as part of our weekly activities here! This is what he has to say about grilling:
1. How old were you when you realized you were destined to be a grill master?
Around 15 after having my friends over often I realized I need to be the one preparing food if I was the one hosting the party!

2. What’s the best grill to own?
Each grill provides a different cooking experience. Lately my go to has been the Blackstone griddle.

3. Why do you think it’s important for our TBS boys to learn this skill?
Many guys, including myself, went through a lot of trial and errors because I didn’t know the basics. Once you know what you’re looking for and what it takes to get the and result, your love what you make even through the process.

4. Best grill meal you’ve ever had:
The best meal I’ve ever made was the one that people enjoyed the most. It’s not one particular time, it’s the feeling I get when people appreciate what you’ve done.

5. Word of advice for all the beginners out there?
Everyone loves grilled food, even if you don’t do the best job, it’s that you did the job and you will still be appreciated 🙂 so just start the rest will come.
